Short tip on how to address ghosting

Getting ghosted is not fun - what can you do to prevent it?

You can't totally stop ghosting, but you can try to reduce it, even if you're a top seller.

Here's a tip Salman Mohiuddin recommends: if someone ghosts you during a deal, ask if their priorities have changed. For example, tell them, "Our legal team is ready to proceed, but if your plans have shifted, let me know so they can refocus."

This approach works with any team, helping you understand why they stopped responding.

Remember, you can manage ghosting, but you can't eliminate it!

2 email templates from Mike

Mike Gallardo offers two straightforward email templates for when you haven't heard back from a prospect.

Here’s a sample of one that's straightforward and polite:

First email template: direct approach

"Hey Jill,

Last time we talked, you mentioned that your top priority was X, and we were excited about the possibility of working together.

If things have changed or if you've just been busy, that's totally fine. Just give me a quick update when you can.

Cheers,

Mike

P.S. If you're planning to get back to me later, that's okay too!"

4 ways to improve show rates

Ricky Pearl outlines several effective strategies in his post to prevent no-shows and reduce ghosting for meetings:

  1. Immediate invites

Right after booking the meeting, send a calendar invite to keep the appointment fresh in the prospect’s mind.

  2. Follow-up on unaccepted invites

If the invite isn’t accepted, quickly follow up with the prospect to confirm they received it and to correct any issues.

  3. Confirm meeting times

A couple of days before the meeting, send a confirmation request asking the prospect to verify the time is still convenient. This step requires a response, making them more likely to commit.

  4. Verbal confirmation on the day

If there’s no prior confirmation, call the prospect on the day of the meeting to get a verbal agreement that they will attend.
