How to calm the chaos on a hectic days
If you ease into your day, the rest of the day will suffer.
Nick Cegelski shares tips to calm a chaotic sales day:
1. Plan your week
On Fridays, block time for major tasks on your calendar. Leave some buffer time for unexpected tasks. Nick blocks 7.5 hours for daily prospecting and 60 minutes for booking podcast guests.
2. Prep ahead
Batch call preparation on Fridays. This ensures you're ready for the week and can get necessary data from others in advance.
3. Turn anxiety into action
Channel worries about the pipeline into proactive prospecting. Spending a couple of hours each week on this reduces anxiety.
4. Eat the frog
Tackle the toughest task first thing in the morning. This makes the rest of the day easier.
5. Work journal
At the end of the day, reflect on how it went and plan for the next. This helps you prepare mentally and detach from work.
What to do with your 24 browser tabs?
Hannah Ajikawo shares a productivity hack: close your web browser every evening before ending your workday. This helps you start fresh each morning, focusing on priorities instead of getting distracted by random tabs. It’s a small change but makes a big difference. She suggests letting go of the 24 open tabs you haven’t researched yet. If they aren’t saved and organized, just let them go.
5 Gmail & Google Calender hacks
Keith Weightman shares 5 Gmail/Google Calendar productivity hacks that are quick to set up:
1. Speedy meetings
Enable “Speedy Meetings” in Google Calendar settings. 30-minute meetings end 5 minutes early, and longer ones end 10 minutes early, giving you breathing room between meetings.
2. Send & archive
In Gmail settings, enable “Show Send & Archive” button in replies. This helps clear your inbox by sending and archiving emails simultaneously.
3. Undo send
Increase the default undo send time from 10 seconds to 30 seconds in Gmail settings to avoid sending emails by mistake.
4. Filter invite accepts
Create a filter in Gmail to automatically archive and mark as read all meeting acceptances to reduce inbox noise.
5. Color labels + time insights
Use “Time Insights” in Google Calendar to categorize meetings with color labels and see where you’re spending your time. This helps optimize your schedule.

Mark Hunter outlines 11 time management challenges for busy salespeople. Here are a few of them: Plan your week on Sunday evenings and set daily objectives.
